Christmas Decorations

Here is our beautiful Christmas tree.

Here are our stockings hung by the chimney with care. By the way, I painted that sign a few years ago, even the words. Aren't you impressed?

My Recent Projects

I love making cards and cute things with paper. If anyone wants me to make them something, just ask. I would love it! This was the latest birthday card I made. It was for someone in my seminary class, because I am in charge of birthdays. In case you were wondering, the letters are stickers. There's more where this came from!

This was meant to be a bridal shower invitation, but I decided to use the one below instead.

This is one of my favorites. It was an invitation for a bridal shower, in case you did not read what I said before.

I made this one for the Relief Society. It was ho-down, obviously. Get this, they served root beer and chili, and the invitation read, "Come for a root'n'tootin' good time!"

Does anybody know about the Dreyfus Affair? How did it reflect anti-Semitism in Europe and cause Jews to call for an independent Jewish State? Can anybody write a page on this for me?

Movie Tips

You have to see the movie "The Holiday," with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. It is so good!

Christmas Caroling

For our Young Women's activity this week, we went Christmas caroling. We went to one of our leaders' friends houses who had been in a bad hit-and-run car accident. She is practically paralyzed and can barely talk. She is not a member of the church. When we arrived at their house, they welcomed us inside. We sang "Away in a Manger," and I read a scripture (Isaiah 9:6). Then we sang "Silent Night." Finally, we sang "I am a Child of God." I felt the spirit and I could tell that the lady we were singing to did too, because I tould see a small tear in her eye.

Later, we went to a house of a family in our ward, because they were moving to Utah soon. When we got there, all the lights were out, but we decided to knock on the door just in case. Well, nobody answered. Turned out, they had already moved! OOps!

Tennis Class Update

So we've been in school for about three months now, and we've pretty much just been hitting back and forth, although it is mostly just running after the ball when someone hits it way out. Just this week we learned how to keep score. No one gets it. This girl that I was teamed with whined, "I don't like playing tennis this way. It's too confusing. I just want to hit back and forth like we did before." The teaher told her, "This is tennis." I need more patience.

Geeeeeeezzz!!!! You people are pushy. I'm sorry I don't have enough time to blog every single day!! Some of us have homework and responsibilities! Just kidding, I love you all.

Spiritualness

I don't want to sound cheesy, but I learn a lot of cool stuff in Seminary. Although I sometimes zone out because I'm so tired, I actually remember stuff sometimes. I heard a neat quote the other day. It said, "Live in such a way that those who know you but don't know Christ will want to know Christ because they know you," or something like that.

My Dumb Tennis Class

So, for P.E. this year, I decided to take a tennis class instead of try out for the team, because there is less committment. Also, I am definitely NOT a competitive person. The first day, the teacher says, "Ok, so let's learn how to hold a racket." It took the whole class period for people to figure out how to hold the dang thing. C'mon people!!!!!!! This isn't rocket science!!!!!! The next day, she taught us how to stinkin' swing. We spent three days swinging in the air, just to learn how to do it. I thought, "man, I must be smarter than I thought."
